EuroPride is a celebration of love, freedom, and diversity — and that includes taking care of yourself and others.
To make the most of the experience, here’s how you can prepare before, during, and after the event.
Get vaccinated: Protect yourself against Mpox (monkeypox), Hepatitis A and B, and other transmittable infections.
Know your status: Do a full STI & HIV screening before traveling.
Start PrEP: If you’re eligible and not on PrEP yet, talk to a doctor about starting it early.
Plan smart: Know where to access support in Lisbon if needed:
GAT – Checkpoint LX: https://www.gatportugal.org/contactos
Liga Portuguesa Contra a SIDA: https://ligacontrasida.org
Use protection and be mindful of your limits — physical, emotional, and chemical.
Stay hydrated and avoid excessive substance use.
Ask for help: If you feel unwell, overwhelmed, or unsafe, don’t hesitate to seek support.
Find the Mobile Testing Unit: In EuroPride 2025, a mobile testing unit will be available offering free STI screenings, health advice, and prevention services.
Get tested again: It’s a good practice to do follow-up STI testing after big events.
Listen to your body: Take time to rest, recover, and reflect.
Continue safe practices in your daily life and stay connected to care.
These organizations are here to help — before, during and after EuroPride.
